4th of July - yearly tradition

My aunt Lana hosts our 4th of July bash each year at her home. She's a brave woman to welcome that many people and kids into her home :) We always have the best times and best food!!

The kids spend the day riding the gators, 4wheelers or just running around with the dogs.

Our family ride through the pastures and creek beds

Fireworks are a big part of the day. Dale participated much more this year than in the past. He wore his ear muffs all day. Partly due to the constant shooting that went on from 4pm to dark but also from the occasional loud firework. He even wore them playing football with uncle Brett.

Here he is with his smoke bomb...his favorite firecracker. It's quiet and he can run and jump through it. He got to light it on his own this year.

Clara had been up since 4am so her and Grammy were pretty tired. She ran around for awhile but once it got dark, her and grammy enjoyed the air conditioner & couch. Dale made it through a few of the loud fireworks but fell asleep in my arms outside.

Bobby participating in the shooting marathon. Dwayne had a new clay thrower that they all had fun with.

All of my cousins and my grandmother(dad's mom).
